1. What Information Do We Collect?

Through Shopify’s APIs:

When you install WaveSoft Discount and grant necessary permissions, we access certain data from your Shopify store. Specifically, with the write_products scope, we access your product information. This may include, but is not limited to:

• Product titles
• Product descriptions
• Product prices
• Product SKUs (Stock Keeping Units)
• Inventory levels
• Product images
• Product tags
• Collections information related to products
• Other data fields associated with your products in Shopify.

Information We Do Not Collect:

• Merchant's Customer Data: We do not access, collect, process, or store any personal data or any other information related to your customers. Our App's functionality is focused solely on product management within your store.
• Directly from the Merchant (Personal Data): We do not ask for or collect personal data directly from you, such as your name (beyond what Shopify may provide for app communication), or payment information for the app itself (billing is handled by Shopify). We do not generate automated logs containing personal data related to your use of our App, beyond what is necessary for the app's core functionality and troubleshooting.

2. How Do We Use the Information We Collect?

The product information we access is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• To Provide App Services: To enable the core functionality of WaveSoft Discount, which involves creating, managing, and applying discounts to products in your Shopify store.
• To Maintain and Improve the App: To ensure the App is working correctly, to troubleshoot issues, and to make improvements to its features and performance.
• To Comply with Legal Obligations: If required by law or valid legal process.

We do not use your product information or any other data for:

• Marketing or advertising purposes.
• Selling or renting to third parties.
• Any purposes other than providing and improving the services of WaveSoft Discount.

3. Data Storage and Retention

• Storage: Product data accessed by the App may be temporarily stored or cached on our secure servers to ensure the proper functioning and performance of the App.
• Retention: We retain the product data accessed from your store only for as long as WaveSoft Discount is installed on your Shopify store.
• Deletion upon Uninstallation: If you uninstall WaveSoft Discount from your Shopify store, all product data specifically associated with your store that we have accessed and stored on our systems will be promptly and permanently deleted.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we handle against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your accessed product information with third parties for their own marketing or other independent business purposes, except in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: We may share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting or infrastructure providers. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the services we have engaged them to provide.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend our rights or property, prevent fraud, act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the App, or protect against legal liability.
• Business Transfers: If WaveSoft is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of company assets, or transition of service to another provider, your information may be transferred as part of such a transaction as permitted by law and/or contract.

6. International Data Transfers

WaveSoft Discount is operated by WaveSoft, located in Germany. If you are accessing or using our App from other jurisdictions, please be advised that your product data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in EU (European Union).

If you are established in Europe or process data from European merchants:

• We store and process data within the European Economic Area (EEA).

7. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and Control: You have control over the product data within your Shopify store. You can add, edit, or delete your products directly through your Shopify admin panel.
• Deletion: As stated above, uninstalling the App will result in the deletion of your store's product data from our active systems.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
